Privacy Policy

ParkMate is a parking coordination app for small organizations. This policy explains what information ParkMate collects, how it is used, and how users can request deletion of their account.

Information We Collect

ParkMate collects the information needed to provide account sign-in, organization membership, parking status, booking, and notification features:

Account information: name, email address, internal user ID, authentication token, and selected organization.
Organization information: organization name, organization domain, number of parking spots, membership role, invitations, and join requests.
Parking activity: booking and release actions, current parking status, activity history, timestamps, and the names of organization members shown in the parking board.
Device information for notifications: Apple Push Notification service device token and whether the token is for sandbox or production.
Support information: information you choose to include when contacting support or sending a bug report, such as app version, iOS version, device model, and the message you write.
Technical server information: standard request metadata such as IP address, request time, and API endpoint may be processed by the backend for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and service operation.

ParkMate does not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone data, camera data, payment information, advertising identifiers, or health data.

How We Use Information

ParkMate uses collected information to:

Authenticate users with email one-time codes.
Show parking spot availability and organization member bookings.
Let users create, join, manage, and leave organizations.
Let administrators manage organization members, invitations, join requests, parking spots, and activity logs.
Send silent push notifications to refresh parking status and widgets.
Provide support, troubleshoot bugs, protect accounts, and maintain service reliability.

ParkMate does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Sharing

ParkMate shares information only as needed to operate the service:

Organization members may see other members' names and current parking booking status within the same organization.
Organization administrators may see organization membership, invitations, join requests, and activity logs needed to manage the organization.
Apple Push Notification service receives the notification token needed to deliver silent push updates.
Hosting and infrastructure providers may process data on ParkMate's behalf to run the backend and deliver the service.

ParkMate does not share user information with advertising networks or data brokers.

Storage and Security

The iOS app stores authentication and account state in the iOS Keychain. User preferences such as theme and language are stored with iOS UserDefaults.

Network traffic between the app and backend uses HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but ParkMate uses reasonable safeguards appropriate for the app's size and purpose.

Retention

ParkMate keeps account, organization, parking, notification, and activity data while the account is active and as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

When you delete your account in the app, ParkMate deletes or disconnects the account data controlled by the app account flow. Some technical logs or backup records may remain for a limited period where needed for security, troubleshooting, or legal reasons.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account in the app:

Open Settings.
Tap Delete account.
Confirm deletion.

Children's Privacy

ParkMate is not intended for children under 13. ParkMate does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International Processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, ParkMate relies on appropriate legal bases and safeguards for this processing.

Changes

ParkMate may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, notifying users in the app or through the service.
